As she deepens her involvement in education through her role with the Malaysia Education Empowerment Organisation (MEEO), the title reflects both her academic grounding and her growing influence in shaping how financial literacy is taught and championed across the region.

Dr Brenda Yong is the first and only woman to receive the prestigious Yusuf (Joseph) Award in the Platinum Category, presented by the Association of Financial Advisers Malaysia (AFA). The award represents wisdom, sound counsel, integrity, and timely advice.
Named after Prophet Yusuf (pbuh), known as Joseph in the Bible, the AFA Yusuf Award recognises financial advisers who demonstrate excellence in client service, innovation, and ethical practice, symbolising the foresight, prudence, and resilience mirrored in his example of wise financial planning and resource management.

Dr Brenda Yong was appointed Industry Advisor for the Malaysia Education Empowerment Organisation (MEEO), contributing to regional and global collaboration in advancing financial literacy and education empowerment. The appointment reflects a natural extension of her work, from helping individuals and families plan their finances, to helping shape how financial education itself is delivered and championed more broadly.
MEEO is dedicated to making education more accessible through initiatives such as Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), the Education Empowerment Network (EEN), and the Industry Professional Education Board (IPEB). As Industry Advisor, Brenda works alongside educators, industry leaders, and changemakers to help guide these efforts and empower learning across communities.
Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT)

Dr Brenda Yong is the first Malaysian woman inducted into the global Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) as a licensed financial adviser, placing her among the top 1% of financial services practitioners worldwide. She is also among the few Malaysians to have qualified for MDRT consecutively across multiple years (TBC: 2022 and what other years?), with more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, specialising in Corporate Solutions.
MDRT is an international recognition awarded annually to financial professionals who meet rigorous production and ethical standards, a benchmark of excellence across the global insurance and financial advisory profession. As Brenda puts it: "Beyond Financial Planning, Impacting Lives."

Dr Brenda Yong has qualified for Court of the Table (COT), a distinction within MDRT reserved for professionals who achieve three times the standard MDRT production requirement, placing her among the top 3% of MDRT members worldwide (TBC: 2023 and for the past 17 years? ).
Court of the Table sits above standard MDRT membership and just below Top of the Table, the highest level of achievement within the Million Dollar Round Table.
